Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR)

Students and parents/supporters are invited to attend one of our Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration days on Saturday, April 28th or Saturday, May 26th, 2018.

Whichever weekend you choose, you're off to a great start. Stay on top of your busy first year by taking advantage of the sessions provided just for you. Spending one-on-one time with your academic advisor will help ensure your studies align with your career plans. You'll get registration advice, come away with your schedule, learn about what to expect, and leave ready for fall classes.

Spring Orientation is also a great way to meet new friends and to learn your way around campus. By the time you arrive in the fall, you'll recognize familiar faces and places. You'll know where to go for help with academic and personal matters. Best of all, you can make the most of all the exciting events we have planned for you during fall orientation!

Students, parents/supporters will begin their day at 9:00 a.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB). Peer Mentors will escort the science students to our faculty, where they will participate in orientation/registration activities. While parents/supporters have opportunity to view displays, visit information booths, and listen to various university administrators talk about the "first-year experience". The Faculty of Science will also host a welcome session with parents before lunch is served at McConnell Hall.
